Clear information so you can make an informed decision.

Questions about cost and coverage are welcome during your free consultation.

Individual therapy: $140 per session

Private pay allows you to receive care without submitting claims to insurance. Payment is due at the time of service unless another arrangement has been established.

Session length, cancellation policies, and payment details will be reviewed before treatment begins.

Using insurance

Insurance benefits vary by plan, even within the same insurance company. Coverage may depend on deductibles, copays, coinsurance, authorization requirements, and whether services are considered medically necessary.

Please contact your insurer to verify your behavioral health benefits. Helpful questions include whether telehealth psychotherapy is covered, what your copay or coinsurance is, whether you have a deductible, and whether Alex Rawle is listed as in network for your specific plan.

Clergy- or bishop-sponsored counseling

In some circumstances, a clergy leader or bishop may sponsor counseling. Payment arrangements and the scope of any communication should be clarified before treatment begins. Your clinical privacy remains important, and information is not shared without appropriate authorization except where legally required.

Good-faith estimates and billing questions

Self-pay clients may request information about expected charges. You are encouraged to ask any billing question before beginning services or whenever your circumstances change.

Payment and insurance questions

Can you guarantee that insurance will pay?

No. Eligibility checks are helpful, but final payment decisions are made by the insurer after a claim is processed.

Do you offer couples therapy?

The current practice is focused on individual therapy. Couples therapy is not listed as a standard service.

Can I use an HSA or FSA?

Psychotherapy is commonly an eligible healthcare expense, but you should confirm eligibility with your plan administrator.
